Europe’s New Competitiveness Agenda

As Deputy Director General of DG GROW, Maive Rute deals with several areas of internal market and industrial policy, such as investment promotion and increasing industrial competitiveness, resilience and relocation of supply chains, standardization and public procurement policy.

Maive leads the EU-Ukraine and EU-Taiwan industrial dialogues and participates in the Horizon Europe steering committee. She is a member of the Council of the European Investment Fund and Tallinn University of Technology. She previously worked at the European Commission as a Senior Manager for Science and Innovation and Director of Enterprise Policy. In Estonia, she has worked as the head of KredEx and as the Vice President of Eesti Pank.
